DAM That's Awesome

Sure,  I could talk on and on about how strategically critical possession of the Dams across the Roer River were but who really cares?!?  Lets see some kickass pictures!  Well here they are.

Well they don't leave these things undefended you know!  Bunkers, staggered roadblocks,  minefields,  AT guns,  tanks,  and a variety of self propelled and static Flak emplacements plus a full garrison defend my latest creation.

A Panther A watches over the sleepy river valley below.

Speaking of Self-Propelled FlaK guns!  Well, lookee here!  I feel an Ost wind blowing!

A top down view of my newest masterpiece. Took just about 4 hours to do this all up.

Scenic isn't it?  I used the higher 5 meter per elevation setting to give this the correct 'scale' of height.  Seems the sluice valves have gotten a little dingy!

Nice profile view along the front face of the DAM.  I just love saying that!  Here is your DAM thumbnail picture!

Some small power generating and maintenance buildings line the access road.

Breathtaking, isn't it?

And the money shot! Smile for daddy!

The power of the Map Editor never ceases to amaze me.  Due to some new and incredible new pavement textures the actual 'look' of the DAM was quite easy to achieve.  The rest was just tweaking elevations and scenery.  Now having never really seen any of these DAMS I just based it what I remember from my trip to Hoover Dam last year. But  the point is made I think,  if you can imagine it you can do it in the editor.  Hmmm... Sounds like an ad slogan...
