No MODs fo' You! News by SuperTed @ 17:50

PawBroon is trying something a little different:

"No MODs today.
Not that I aint got any.
But what I have to update is major enough to be showcased on its own.
Two things then.

First I've finally got around to do a dedicated Max menu so that Max Molinaro's work could be made available again.
Be it MODs, scenarios or somesuch, remember that most people love the feedback.
So if you enjoy what you see, or if like me, you're happy that Max is back, be sure to tell him...

Another thing worth checking is the new AARs Menu.
From the pic, some of the most astute amongst you would have guessed that the first After Action Report to be published is opposing the Legendary Fionn Kelly against the Humorous but Canadian The_Capt.
Pitting the Oirish Juggernaut against Pippu the Sock Puppet is wicked enough for me to be a shareholder.
Fionn has graced me with this AAR and I do hope it will stem many Manoeuvroovrevring PBEMs.

And finally there's that Tournament button.
It does nofink.
But a web site like mine needed a Tournament.
There it is...

Enjoy your reading and remember that even an Oirish has a Soul.
And thus you might please him by commenting on that first instalment and discuss tactics on the Forum.

An Axis force of 120,000 men attacks 16,000 communist partisans in Montenegro. A British military mission arrives on the 27th to meet partisan leader Joseph Tito, who confirms their intelligence reports that the rival Chetnik resistance group now supports the Axis forces. Since the fall of 1941, Tito has led a full-scale campaign in the province of Serbia but has since endured several major attacks from the Axis occupiers. Partisan forces have been preserved by withdrawing to the mountains and are now to be strengthened by large quantities of Allied aid.

West Front, France-

To Guderian's utter disgust, but based on a proposal by von Rundstedt, Hitler orders von Kleist to halt his advance into Dunkirk. The Fuhrer has been assured by Goring that his Luftwaffe will take out the remaining encircled forces and so avoid the need for Hitler to risk his tanks in the flat, boggy fields in the area. Hitler's direct involvement in local strategy and tactics appals many of his commanders on the ground, but is destined to be repeated many times. The German pause allows the beleaguered Allied forces time to regroup. The evacuation has a chance of success.

Rules to Play By News by SuperTed @ 18:47

Tomcat has the drop on the latest rule-set:

"Many CM players use Fionn Kelly's 'Short-75' and 'Panther-76' Rules to play Combat Mission PBEMs. A number of Tournaments are also run either to these exact Rules or based around Fionn's Rules. Two of these Tournaments are currently the subject of AARs being posted at Rugged Defense Combat Mission Tournament website.

Fionn's Rules have seen 2 versions published so far. The original version and then an update shortly after CM v1.12 came out to account for the changes made to Combat Mission with that release.

Although these Rules have worked effectively for a considerable time, a number of areas needed to be tightened up and certain aspects of the Rules needed clarification to avoid confusion.

The result of these changes is a new set of 'Rules' from Fionn Kelly entitled Combat Mission 'Balanced Force Rules'.

To quote Fionn, "I decided that rather than simply updating them again slightly, I would change the entire ethos behind my 'Armour Rules' and create a new Rule-set which would address the current needs of the CM community in recognition of the fact that needs today are very different from when the original 'Armour Rules' were created."

To read the new Combat Mission 'Balanced Force Rules', just proceed to the embedded link.

I am sure there will be a lot of discussion regarding these new 'Balanced Force Rules' and some people will simply not like certain aspects of them. This is entirely to be expected amongst a community as large as the Combat Mission Community. Also, please remember the 'Rules' are optional, not mandatory. If you do not like them, simply do not use them. Nobody is forcing you to play by them. The aim of the 'Balanced Force Rules' is solely to try to create a series of more balanced overall sets of forces for CM players to play by.

Finally, I would like to reiterate the comments from version 2 of the 'Rules' which are retained with slight amendments at the end of the 'Balanced Force Rules':

"Despite the above so-called 'Rules' and limitations listed here, it is still up to PBEM opponents to choose whatever type of Combat Mission battle they wish to play and the rules by which they wish to play them. These guidelines can be either helpful or just plain irritating depending on your point of view. No one, least of all Fionn, is forcing you to use these 'Rules'. If you do not like these 'Rules', simply do not use them."

Having said that, I think there will be a very large number of CM players who will wish to play balanced CM battles using these new 'Balanced Force Rules' and will get one hell of a lot of fun and enjoyment from doing so.

From the May 20, 1945 Baltimore American:

"OKINAWA JAPS STALL 4 AMERICAN DIVISIONS

LAND, SEA AIR FORCES IN BATTLE
GUAM, May 19-(U.P.). Japanese troops on Southern Okinawa battled four American divisions almost to a standstill today as the bloodiest campaign of the Pacific war went into its forty-ninth day on a note of rising fury.
Marines and Army troops were inside Naha, Shuri and Yonabura, the three anchors of the Japanese line, but key hills dominating the cities were changing hands as many as four times in 24 hours in the swaying battle.

'JAPS CRACKING.'

There were some signs that the Japanese were cracking under the terrific American pressure and ceaseless land, sea and air bombardment.
However, commanders cautiously reserved final judgement. The battle was far from over.
A front dispacth said marines of the Sixth Division had penetrated as much as 500 yards into Naha, ruined capital of Okinawa and western anchor of the enemy line.

HAND-TO-HAND

The First Marine Division finally won control of the northern slopes of Sugar Loaf Hill northeast of Naha in bitter hand-to-hand fighting, but its crest was a no man's land.
Japanese still controlled the southern slopes of the hill, holding up virtually the entire western flank of the Okinawa front.
Marines have tried nine times unsuccessfully to dislodge them in the past week. The crest changed hands four times yesterday alone.
Complete conquest of the hill well might open up a corridor that would enable the Americans to envelope both Naha and Shuri.
A Pacific Fleet communique said Sugar Loaf Hill had been captured, but front dispatches indicated this was premature..."

The Magnificent Seven News by SuperTed @ 9:49

After a couple false starts, PawBroon's carrier pigeons arrived:

"And now for some more MODs.
Tarkus is not only polishing off his Interface but he is doing so with such maestria that I'm ready to bet that Deanco's GunMetal will finally find a tough competitor.
And since he seems to be Hell bent on being a copycat of Deanco, Tarkus is also working on the Menu Order.
His idea is so simple it's bordering genius.
In order to distinguish each order from the others, it will be coded like the lines that are drawn from your unit when you give an order.
Purple for Rotate, Green for Run etc...
It's efficient and still manages to keep the uncluttered look of Deanco's Clipboard...
What else?.
Well, when he is not working on small BMPs, Tarkus is also finishing off some AFVs.
You'll find his advanced Marder II in here and he might have a Lynx cooking.
Congratulation on your work Tarkus, I know it's hard on you but keep at it, your MODs are oozing talent.

AndrewTF is also pumping MODs as if he was paid on a per pixel basis. I wouldn't complain as today's Previews are outstanding uniforms of the winter persuasion.
And since he won't be pleased without showcasing an Ultra HiRes AFV, he has also revamped the Comet.
Not only was this tank one of the best modern looking cat of the game but it is now sexy as well.
As would that guy who threatened MODers with a squirrel say, Woot it RoXorz!

JM Gottwald who has been inspired by AndrewTF's SAP is still tweaking his own vision of the Heer and SS uniforms.
So many uniforms...
Aren't we glad CMMOS can swap them?
They look very much done to me so I guess you can expect a release any time now.

Gordon Molek has done it again.
Someday that guy will have to stop saying that he is not a MODer.
Yeah roight!
And so I'm led to believe this is NOT a Challenger MOD then huh?
Based off AndrewTF's Cromwell, his Challenger is nothing short of outstanding.
Of course, since Gordon Molek can't help but be partial to CMMOS, this MOD comes with many options to choose from.

Mchlstrt has tweaked Marcus Bloess' Faces (MB's Faces MOD for those of you who are reading this before their first coffee) to add more contrast and highlights.
They do look properly soldiery to me so I guess the MOD is good.
Keep at it, I can feel a tremor in the Force...

Steven Burvenich seems to be on a Mission from Glod.
Yeah I know that's awful but since I was into Terry Pratchett references...
Sorry.
What I meant is that after his feldgrau PzIV and StugIII, Steven Burvenich is now working on a feldgrau Tiger.
That MOD is based off one of Tiger's earlier Tigers.
After a long lull, there seem to be an awful lot of Tiger MODing these days.
All of them are worthy of your download and this one will most certainly please people who are on a Feldgrau Theme...

Marco Bergman.
What can I say about his Wolverine?
Does ANY of Marco's MODs really need pimping?
Go and see for yourself on the Forum.
Some threads are always a testimony of the high level of expectation people have when Marco Bergman is MODing.
Of course, one might say, but he hasn't done the Chaffee and the Hellcat!
And to this I can only answer that I'm glad you mentioned it.
Wasn't me Marco, promised.
They do want you to MOD those, that's all.
And the Pershing too if you have some idle time left...

Thanks to all of you MODers for your time and dedication.

Western Front, France-

The French General Reserve and units south of the German forces are ordered to form the Sixth Army to bolster the vulnerable Allied lines, but this fails to halt the German advance. Brigadier General Charles de Gaulle's 4th Armored Division attempts to counterattack around Laon-Montcornet on May 17-19 but fails.
German tanks reach Cambrai on May 18, and finally the sea at Abbeville two days later. It now becomes critical for the Allies to cut the "corridor" made by the panzers or risk the isolation of their armies to the north from the forces in the south. The dismissal of General Maurice Gamelin, the Allied commander-in-chief, and the appointment of Maxime Weygand as his successor on the 19th further delays military decision-making, which reduces the potential for any action.

Double Your Tournament Pleasure News by SuperTed @ 13:11

Tomcat has the goods on the goings on:

"Rugged Defense is currently running 2 CM Tournaments. One is based around Fionn Kelly's Short-75 Rules, the other around his Panther-76 Rules with certain exceptions and restrictions being made to the base Rules.

You can read all about the Tournaments and the Tournament Rules from the Rugged Defense Combat Mission Tournament website. Indeed, all the maps used are still available for download on the RD Tournament website if anybody wishes to play them.

Currently the Final Round 5 of both Tournaments has just begun.

I asked the 6 guys playing in Round 4 of the Panther-76 Tournament if they would kindly write AARs for their battles in order to provide a learning exercise for us on how to conduct effective CM attack and defensive techniques. In addition, there will also be one AAR from Round 4 of the Short-75 Tournament.

You now have the opportunity to start reading the players' AARs and to download and watch the movies to see and learn how the "experts" do it.

AARs will be posted at approximately weekly to fortnightly intervals covering the 7 battles involved.

The first AAR to be published is Barleyman vs Buckeye and the movies are available to download and watch too. This is a very interesting battle and there are a number of specific tips and techniques used by both players that will benefit many CM players.

Go to the Rugged Defense Tournament AAR website and enjoy!

Needless to say, all 4 players in the Final Round 5 of these Rugged Defense Tournaments have also been asked to provide similar AARs for their battles.

What'd He Say? News by SuperTed @ 19:34

The European release of CMBO through CDV has led to a wave new reviews. Some are interesting, some are not, and some just leave you scratching your head, wondering if the reviewer is playing the same game. The review below falls into the third category and, thanks to McAuliffe, it has been translated from Dutch to English. I have made a few small changes to the text and added one or two editorial comments. Enjoy!

Seldom has fighting a war been so much fun!

Combat Mission: Beyond Overlord

A soccer game is played with two teams, lasts ninety minutes and is usually won at the end by the German team. (This refers to the experiences of the Belgian national soccer team of course). :-) Fortunately, in recent years, the German "Mannschaft" (German for soccer team) has lost a lot of their prestige. Besides, we can call ourselves lucky that our eastern neighbours usually do not succeed in their wars, not to mention a world war. This brings us to Combat Mission, a not unpleasant 3D combination of real-time and turn-based strategy.

Developer: Battlefront
Genre: Strategy
Producer: CDV
Platform: PC
Multiplayer: No (ed.: uhhh, okay)
system requirements: Windows 95/98/2000, 166 Mhz Pentium, 3D card, 32 Mb RAM, 100 Mb free hard disk space

Screenshots

I can already imagine you're thinking: "Oh no, another strategy game concerning WWII." That was what I was originally thinking, because, since playing games like Steal Panthers, Panthers in the Shadows, or even Close Combat, there is a strong feeling of "déjà-vu" when it comes to new releases of WWII strategy games. But, because you can't always judge a book by its cover, I decided to start playing Combat Mission without any prejudice (ed.: uh, it sounds a bit late for that), a decision that I absolutely did not regret.

The time-frame of Combat Mission: Beyond Overlord is situated in the post-D-Day period of World War II, more specifically just after the Allied troops landed in Normandy and their advance to hostile Germany starts. Put on the helmet of an American, Brit, Canadian, Pole, Frenchman or the Germans themselves and plunge into historically-correct battles with amazing 3D-images. It a simple concept, nevertheless it's better to keep the 191 pages thick manual of Combat Mission close at hand. The turn-based system is the core business of the game, but it's neither based on alternating sets of turns nor on real-time play. Instead of that, both players give a series of orders, which the computer then calculates and converts into 60-second action movies. As the player is only able to influence the flow of the battle at the end of each of these minutes, the AI determines how your military units will behave and execute your commands.

Thus, Artificial Intelligence:

Much can happen during 60 seconds. Therefore, it must be taken into account that troops are frequently left to themselves (ed.: maybe better orders would help) or better, are submitted to the AI of the program. With some caution, we can put thus that the final result in Combat Mission depends as much on the input of the AI as on the human input (ed.: it sounds like a green commander here). In this regard, the game does fairly well. When you order your troops to advance in a straight line across unpassable terrain, then the computer will automatically adjust the route by means of more appropriate waypoints (ed.: interesting this writer is impressed with one of the weakest features). Regarding firefights, the designers have even put more confidence in the AI since they advise that it's better not to give too many targeting orders to the units except for the strictly necessary. This must ensure that your soldiers, during the 60 seconds that the computer takes over, do not stick at a designated target, while a bigger danger emerges suddenly (ed.: I think that was a compliment). Thus, your units will always start blasting away at what seems to them to be a larger danger at that moment.

Wherever you look, 3D is present:

Besides the remarkable AI-aspect, Combat Mission: Beyond Overlord puts itself head-and-shoulders above other war strategy games (ed.: come on, don't be shy; say "wargame") by its leading three-dimensional look and feel. From the detailed bumpers on the German armoured vehicles (ed.: yes, CM has the best bumpers in wargaming) to the mighty appearance of the King Tigers, the 3D pictures and surroundings are at times impressive. Thus it's not only possible to distinguish the different nationalities on the battlefield by means of their uniform but even by means of the several weapons they carry. In this regard, the presentation of the landscapes can easily compete with equal tank- or flight-simulators; Yes, even with many FPS games! However, it's only when the turn based small action movie of 60 seconds starts, that the 3D leaves itself to be admired in full glory. Combined with excellent sound effects this game provides a fine example of what a turn-based strategy war game (ed.: WARGAME, dammit!) can look like and in fact also should be.

Engines roar, the battlefield is filled with cries and the violence of explosions, but once the the noise of the battle calms down, you hear the birds sing as if nothing has happened. A nice feature is that the sound system takes into account the position of the action with respect to the camera cog point. This means that the same explosion can sound like some innocent background explosion or make the earth tremble when your viewpoint happens to be next to it .

The reality of the battlefield:

Much attention was paid to the favourite topic of many wargame (ed.: see? that wasn't so bad, was it?)-amateurs: the realism of the battle scene. In Combat Mission, the armour design especially has been developed with detail, something that tends to be forgotten in other strategy war games (ed.: sigh) (eg. the flight trajectories of each fired tank grenade (ed.: we're dealing with a grognard, folks) is monitored closely by the computer and each grenade impact is shown whether it has hit the target or found the green grass). If, however, an enemy target is hit, it can cause different results depending on the distance from which the grenade (ed.: limited grenades is really going to suck for tanks in CMBB) has been fired and the angle of impact: from some enemies getting hurt or the damaging of one of the vital systems of a tank to having the enemy target going up in flames.

Above is only valid for artillery and guns. The infantry fire-exchanges use another system, based on the so called fire-rating, that designates the firepower of a unit. The total firepower of the different weapons of the squad and their efficiency is calculated. But it's not as simple as it looks, as the outcome of a fire-fight man-to-man cannot be guessed from this calculation alone. Other aspects are taken into account, like: morale, the terrain and the moves you plot out for your men. Chances for success are increased if you make use of your knowledge of the tactical situation and move your troops around according to this information, instead of just advancing and counting on a firepower advantage. This complicates playing, and can make the going tough, but at least it makes it a lot more interesting (ed.: to make it easy, the name would have to be changed to Close Combat: Beyond Sucking).

If the battle isn't going your way, you can still request air-support (ed.: wouldn't that be nice if it was true?). However, keep in mind that you cannot completely contol the appearance of this support, which makes it difficult to estimate its influence on the battle. It can happen, that your own troops get bombed, but an air-raid can also hand you a victory (ed.: so, why is difficult to estimate the influence of air support?).

There is more, much more...

Combat Mission is one of those games that only a few know about, but it has more to offer then its better-known counterparts. This review is too limited to list all the possibilities of this game, but I still want to point out some other characteristics. The interface of the game works on the basis of a simulation game, with the understanding that this interface puts itself generally in the background. Each unit, each vehicle can be ordered, assessed, or put in action separately, but due to intense interaction between the AI and the player it is not necessary to look constantly after each individual element which improves the rhythm and playability of the game and makes it more attractive. You can choose from 50 scenarios and operations that come with the game and include historically-correct missions. As if this would not be enough, there is also a scenario editor available. Unfortunately, Combat Mission is not a real multiplayer, although it is possible to take on one other player through e-mail exchange (so-called PBEM). However, this function is not really that exciting and thus a serious opportunity has been missed in our opinion. However the developer Battlefront is working on this matter and will make the upcoming sequels (the first one will cover the Eastern Front of WWII) full multiplayer games (ed.: I wish I had some of what this guy is smoking).

Playability: 8.5/10
Graphics: 8.0/10
Sound: 8.5/10
Fun Factor: 8.5/10
Toal: 84%

Summary

It's an entertaining, yes even an intellectually-challenging strategy wargame with a freaked out AI (ed.: what can I say?) and at moments breathtaking 3D animation. The genre, and then more specifically the subject of WWII, has been milked dry (ed.: really?), but this "Combat Mission" has found itself a well-deserved place among the established values.

+ (Positive)

Lots of historically-correct missions
Challenging gameplay
Well designed, detailed graphics

- (negative)

The AI takes over more than necessary (ed.: uh, never mind...)
no multiplayer (ed.: uh, never mind...)

(ed.: The way this review was written, I would have expected a 60% rating. I wonder what the rating would have been if the review was done by somebody with at least half a clue.)

Sea War, Pacific-

US aircraft damage the Shokaku, while Zuikaku's aircraft losses are very serious in the Battle of the Coral Sea. Japanese aircraft hit the Lexington, which is later scuttled, and damage the Yorktown. This is the first ever battle fought exclusively with carrier aircraft. The US Navy loses a carrier but repairs to the Yorktown are speedy. Japan loses a smaller carrier while the other two Coral Sea carriers will be unfit for action in the approaching battle at Midway. Large numbers of Japanese aircraft and experienced pilots have also been lost. The abandonment of the Port Moresby landing is the first major blow to Japanese expansionism.

Tom's second update in less than a week, and it's a good one:

" And out of nowhere a new star is born: Mr. Tomasz Danilowicz from Poland did a stunning " Tiger E " mod that will satisfy even the most sceptic grog. Based on a 3D Studio Max rendering by the author , the new textures show us all details of this fearsome war machine ( take a look on the Zimmerit ...not to speak of the awesome shading and lighting ! ) This is a MUST HAVE. Together with the original artwork , you´ll get an alternative subdued and a winterized version. Run like hell to the TCMHQ " Axis Armor " section and download these beauties ( 3 MB ). Taking Europe by Storm (Again)! News by SuperTed @ 23:36

Norseman has gone above and beyond the call of duty in translating a recent Norwegian review of CMBO. Here are his comments and the review:

"This is a translation of a Norwegian game review of CMBO printed May 2nd, in ITavisen.no, Norway's leading online computer magazine. They rate games by emoticons, and CMBO received the big grin (highest rating, hey... it's not a games mag). The game is given credit for being "inventive", "realistic" and "engrossing", while being deducted only for "dated graphics".

The review is by Marius Thorvaldsen, translated (and slightly edited for readability) by me.

"GAME TEST: Beyond Overlord
Combat Mission re-launched

Combat Mission: Beyond Overlord took war simulation on the PC to a new dimension upon it's launch in 2000. CMBO quickly found a large fanbase, but has up until recently only been available for purchase through the developers' home site.

The game is now being released in a beautiful double CD edition, where the bonus CD is stuffed full of new missions, graphic mods, and other treats mainly produced by the game's devoted fans.

CMBO will take you to Western Europe during the years 1944 and '45, with the Allies pressing on towards Hitler's bunker in Berlin. The game is tactical combat, and your units represent individual squads of soldiers, guns and vehicles.

You can take command of American, British, Canadian, Polish, French and of course German troops. The rich details are enough to satisfy even the most critical of history professors.

Real-time turn-based!
The most exciting part of CMBO is how the turn based system is configured. At the start of each round, you may use as much time as you like studying terrain and giving out orders to your troops. The interface is easy to grasp, yet gives access to some very advanced options, which adds greatly to the game's realistic feel. Tactics that would work in real life work in CMBO!

After the planning, all movements are calculated against your enemy's, and what follows is a minute of miniature war film. Your tanks advance, and your flamethrowers set buildings alight as enemies are discovered inside, only seconds before they themselves are mowed down by enemy MG fire.

During this phase, you have absolutely no control yourself. Your men try to follow orders, while responding to the best of their abilities to any surprises that may turn up. Inexperienced troops may turn tail and flee, while veteran units could well save themselves by not following through on a bad command, or by responding correctly to a new threat.

If you still have soldiers fit for fight, the game moves on to the next turn, where you again start by giving out orders.

3DNOW!
The 3D terrain of CMBO isn't just for show (even though the battlefield truly comes to life with hills, rivers and small villages), but also decides what your forces can see. Every little nook and cranny of terrain could be essential as to whether or not you remain out of sight to the enemy.

The fact that the graphics are over 2 years old shows (the bonus CD helps a lot, as it holds about 150 graphic mods).

Limitless gameplay
The bonus CD contains a sea of extra missions. Keen on playing Saving Private Ryan? Just load it up from the CD. The game also has a "quick battle" option that creates a mission by your specifications.

Naturally you also have access to a more advanced editor that allows you to create larger missions on your own. The game's AI will test your mettle, and of course you may play against friends and enemies over the net."

May 2, 1942

Sea War, Pacific-

Japan deploys a large carrier force to surprise the US Pacific Fleet in the Coral Sea as part of its plan to establish greater control of the Solomon Islands. A key aim is to sieze Port Moresby on the southwest Pacific island of Papua New Guinea, which would facilitate bomber attacks on Australia and help sever its communications with the United States. The Japanese have a Carrier Striking Force containing the carriers Shokaku and Zuikaku under Vice Admiral Takeo Takagi. They also have a covering group that includes the carrier Shoho, plus four heavy cruisers under Rear Admiral Aritomo Goto. There is also the Port Moresby Invasion Group and a support force. US codebreaking enables Admiral Chester Nimitz, the US Pacific Fleet commander, to prepare his forces. He deliberately withdraws from Tulagi in the Solomons before a Japanese attack in order to reinforce their belief that only one US carrier is operating in the area.

Five for Fighting News by SuperTed @ 11:37

PawBroon found the time to squeeze in some MOD news among his other pursuits: ;-)

"On to the MODs now.

Gordon Molek has been MODing off AndrewTF's excellent Cromwell.
While his MOD is still a draft, one can see that we will soon have a beautiful Challenger.

Marco Bergman is still Hell bent on doing the highest quality level of German Flak Guns available.
Of course, not only is the MOD drastically improved but it does complement very well Gordon Molek's FlakPz.
But considering that upon receiving my suggestion that he should also do the single barrelled 20mm AA Gun he called me Maximus, I've lost all hopes.

Vader's Jester has used Clubfoot's fountains to tweak them to his needs.
You know just how happy I am when new people get to try on MODing.
Start with a tweak and you'll be MODing in no time...

Saturnin is done with his Hotchkiss H39.
I don't want to sound off as partial and to influence anybody here but I do love this MOD.
It has a quality that Someone's H39 was lacking, availability and willingness to release.
Can't beat that really.
Congrats on your latest MOD Mon Canard.

Tarkus is out in full blast.
I don't know what Fionn Kelly would say about that, but Full Blast does sound Gamey to me.
So, you'll have the pleasure to see two flavours of Marder II, a regular and a weathered, and a brand new Interface.
Take a close look at it, I'm willing to bet that if Deanco's GunMetal Interface is to be dumped by some of you, it could only be for Tarkus'.

Hugo Gosciniak is once again working on his Panther.
I've said time and again that revisiting is very often the mark of great MODers.
This latest MOD is really something and all the fans of the Panther will soon have a new toy straight from Poland.
Which reminds me of the Tax Issue.
All of you North American guys should drop Hugo a mail for a settlement.

Reno Flame 36 is closer than ever to the release of his PzIV off Fernando Carrera Buil's.
I guess being kidnapped by MikeT for his own War Along the Rim: Those Forgotten Bastards hadn't helped but he seems to have overcome it.

Philippe has been walking in the steps of Sitzkrieg and is about to release the latest Must Have addition to CMMOS, Wave Support.
Of course since we're talking about the CMMOS Cabal, the idea must have originated from someone else and we are surely witnessing a blatant rip off.
But as my Mom would say, see if I care.
I'm not sure if it was done on purpose, but having thumbnails of women in CMMOS got me all excited.
If that doesn't help spreading Gordon Molek's tentacular influence in Scipio's heart then nothing will...

Tom must be a HUGE fan of the Rolling Stone's Street Fighting Man since his latest Mammoth MOD is so very urban.
Streets, parks, squares and fountains.
I guess Tom loves the hassle.
And boy I am so glad for it.
Outstanding work as usual!

Makjager's Tiger is ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
Or at least ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHish.
I'm sure he is holding me because we trounced the Oirish during the Six Nations tourney.
But Paul, we did the Grand Slam, so nothing personal here, we just trounced all of you buggers...
Remember that quote I've seen in the Day of Defeat Forum, Release or be rapped by a Squirrel!
Believe me, I'm glad BTS is moderating some threads really...

And now for our latest MODers, a Mexican Double Take.
It does sound somewhat Gamey too that one...
We have new Uniform MODs from both JorgeMC and J. M. Gottwald.
There must be some serious incentive in the textile industry in Mexico really.
German Uniforms.
If you can't find your pleasure in the Gazillions of MODs already available, here are five more of them...

Thanks to all of you for making this possible."
