Enhanced Smoke
(page 1)

Steve has mentioned recently in the Combat Mission Forum that the smoke graphics have been given an overhaul and here is the result of this work...

Note: this is the second incarnation of these pictures. Some 3 hours after I posted the first set Charles was able to tweak them and here is the result. Now THAT'S quick service!!! Pictures taken on TNT 2 Ultra Video card, your mileage may vary...

Here we see a smoke enshrouded town, This is the result of several off board batteries delivering smoke missions. Its hard to see here but the smoke is animated and it appears to billow upward from the base of the cloud.

A new touch is that smoke can be slightly different heights, Here we see some of the lower height smoke clouds.  This smoke is the result of smaller caliber guns.

Brewed vehicles also have new smoke! This smoke also billows upward in oily chunky clouds. Notice how you can see the fleeing crew through the smoke!

A panoramic shot of the oily brewed vehicle smoke.

Here a StuG starts to lay its own main gun fired smoke screen. One smoke shell has already begun to emit smoke.
