For the purposes of this AAR, I have assumed the personality of Capt. Turner, unit A-0.

Orders – Turn 13

As I move forward, I’m going to have George Platoon rest a minute to catch their breath.  There should be plenty of time to deal with that platoon coming up on my flank.  I’m coming up to assist Charlie Platoon and set up a command post in a house in the village.  I’ve asked the two tanks in the village to button up and shell an objective building to surpress anyone in them.  On my right, Fox Platoon is closing in for the kill.

In the middle, I think I’m going to come out on top in the current fight but Baker is approaching low ammo status so I hope it’s soon. I think my remaining two tanks are safe, but then again, I thought the tank that was killed last turn was safe too.  I’m certainly not going to advance them right now.  On the right, the two intact squads of Fox Platoon will try to keep some pressure on his flank.

I want the ongoing firefights to resolve themselves before I make any major moves.

    Action – Turn 13

Another good turn.  Although I didn’t move much and caused few casualties, the enemy’s position is weaker now.  For instance, the enemy counter attack on my left is not going well for him.

One of the three squads crossing the field on my left has faltered and turned around to go back where he came from.

In the middle, fire from the tanks at the machine-gun was ineffective.  Charlie platoon is available now to rush him if necessary.

Despite fire from 6 units (including two tanks), this machine-gun is still firing away.

NOTE: The Shermans fire appearing to hit behind the building was a bug that in the demo that has since been fixed!

Also, he’s retreating from the woods behind the village.  Looks like most of his squads are still in good order though – little panic.  Boy it sure would have been nice to have a tank waiting for him on the other side.  Sigh.

An infantry squad retreats with Baker Platoon and three machine-guns firing at him.
